NTU Academic Dress Pick-Up Service - Updates!

Update 1:
Collection Point 4 & 5 has been released. Scroll down for details.

Update 2:
Graduates who are intending to take their graduation photos at Serangoon Broadway can now order with me! The amount you pay for your rental/purchase can be used to offset the graduation portraits package (Cheapest starting from $118). However, you have to commit to a package by 31st July (which means you have to go down to Serangoon Broadway to sign up for a package by then)!

Update 3:
If you realised, I have removed the size charts for the gown and mortarboards. I discovered that the sales staff at the studio do a better job of using your height and head circumference dimensions then giving it to them by size (in terms of S, M, L etc). Besides, it appears that it is nearly free size for all the gowns. I am 173cm and they gave an S to me. Just be extra careful in your measurements of the head circumference and do repeated takings.

NTU Academic Dress Pick-up Service

Hello NTU Students!

Congratulations on your graduation! I hope job hunting has gone well for you.

I am sure that you are aware that we need to either purchase or rent our academic dress from Serangoon Broadway Studio. They are the official gown vendor and it is strongly recommended that you get it from them. However, I am also sure that the location is quite far-flung for many of you. (Plus, the roads there are super messy with so much construction work going on there.)

Therefore, I am willing to offer a service at a fee of $3.80 for picking up the gown and handing it to you at a more convenient location. It is practically the amount you pay for taking public transport to-and-fro to the studio! So why not pick it up from me while you are shopping during GSS!

Collection Point 1:

Saturday, 20 June at Wisma Atria’s Starbucks from 12pm to 3pm.

Collection Point 2:

Saturday, 27 June at Raffles City’s Starbucks (The Starbucks outlet next to McDonalds) from 12pm to 3pm.

Collection Point 3:
Saturday, 4 July at Vivo City’s Coffee Bean from 12pm to 3pm.

Collection Point 4:

Saturday, 11 July at Wisma Atria’s Starbucks from 12pm to 3pm.

Collection Point 5 (New!):

Saturday, 18 July at Raffles City’s Starbucks from 12pm to 3pm.

The charges are as follow:

Option A: Purchase

Purchase Price + 7% GST + Handling Fee

= $38 + $2.66 + $3.80

= $44.46

Option B: Rental

*NOTE: I am NOT RESPONSIBLE for the returning of your academic dress. The deposit will be refunded when you return your academic gown.

Rental Price + 7% GST + Refundable Deposit + Handling Fee

= $26 + $1.82+ $25 + $3.80

= $56.62

Simply email me at ennuisg@gmail.com with the following details:

FAQs

1. When is the last day of your 'order taking'?

Well, the last day will be 16th July (payment has to come in by 11.59pm of 16th July too for me to process the orders) , that will give me time to process orders for collection on 18th/19th July which are likely to be the last collection days as the first convocation ceremony starts on the 23rd July.

2. Do I need to be fitted for my academic gown?

NUS has a similar online ordering system, albeit their collection point is on campus and not at the coffee cafes in town. So, we are pretty safe here if we follow the stated measurements. ;)

However, I am sure you have concerns about how to wear an academic gown. Well, a certain great fellow university in Singapore has a fantastic site and powerpoint slide prepared to teach their graduates the art of wearing the gown. So I guess we can learn from them, right NTU graduates? :p

*I will provide you with the link via email if you do order from me. ;)

3. What are your other tentative/ unconfirmed collection dates?

*Once confirmed, it will be announced on the main page. :0)

11th July and 18th July: Both Saturdays from 12pm to 3pm from cafes in town area.

12th July and 19th July: Both Sundays from 4pm to 6pm from cafes in town area.
